My family will vacation anywhere, just as long as there is a beach close by! The best vacations to me, personally, will have the option of beach activities and great culture close by. I love to do the local excursions and tours of the nearby sites. I feel that it is a waste of time to visit a foreign country, and NOT experience their local culture first hand, outside of the resort or tourist areas.
Now, I know that it can be very scary to venture out into a foreign land. Especially after hearing news reports of disasters and tragedies. Working with a travel agent and booking safe and recommended tours is the best way to go. Live a little!! See the world!! Make it count.
